Who would not want to live inside a movie theatre? If I were given a chance, I would pack all my things and move in into an old movie theatre and just enjoy my favourite movies and shows on that wide screen! Well, that was my stand before the advent of the widescreen HDTV. Now my goal in life is not to live in a movie theatre but to turn my home into one. And it’s not such a distant dream right now. All I need is a widescreen HDTV.

Widescreen HDTV are kinda like the screens in movie theatres but of course not as large. The picture quality however is the same and the feel that what you are watching is larger than life is there. This is perhaps because of the wide size of the screens available right now. And because you can probably hang these televisions on a blank wall, it reinforces that feeling of movie theatre. Add to it a lazy boy and you’ve got one hell of a personal entertainment area.

Some models even have built in audio speakers that are capable of what movie people call surround sound. This means that the audio does not come from the direction of the television but are bounced off the surroundings of the room. It mimics the same kind of audio produced in movie theatres.

I for one is a big fan of widescreen HDTV or any models of HDTV for that matter. The picture quality and sound are way better than the traditional television sets that we are used to. It has better resolution and more vivid pictures.
