Sony televisions are known for quality, uniqueness, and innovative designs, undoubtedly, the company is one of the top manufacturers in the world. Sony’s latest offering in the television market is the BRAVIA, which is actually short for Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture. Bravia is actually used by Sony to refer to all its high-definition LCD televisions. The brand name is also carried by the latest and high-end Sony projection televisions as well as front projectors. The name should synonymous to Sony’s best products. Well, that’s the idea.

The Sony KDL32U2000U Bravia HD Ready TV, like all televisions come in a variety of sizes and features which is dependent on the unit model. The higher end the model of Sony LCD TV, the more features it has and the bigger it is. Meanwhile, your choice and purchase of the kind of model will depend on several factors. The first would be the costs, of course. If you have the money then there’s no question about it, you go with the latest and biggest one. Personal preference would come to play but I think the only thing that you will have to really think about is the screen size. You don’t want the biggest one if you don’t have the space for it. Even though the Bravia is thin since it is an LCD TV and everything, space can still be an issue. If you are limited by a budget, you can opt for a lower model if you really don’t need that other technical stuff in the higher end units. It is just a matter of evaluating what you need and what you want and what you can do with it right now.

All things considered, the Sony KDL32U2000U 32" LCD TV is a good enough choice. Obviously it is not the latest Bravia but still I do stand by my belief that this unit is more than enough for your viewing pleasure. Of course, this Sony model is already an HD ready television so you have the advantage of having more detail and clarity on your display. And since it is already in HD, expect that it plays well with other devices that use HD like Blu-ray players as well as HD game consoles and camcorders. Connection with these devices would be through HDMI.

With a 32-inch widescreen view, the Sony KDL32U2000U can provide great entertainment. Combined with the rest of the unit’s features, this Bravia can be quite the pleaser. Let’s see the actual dimensions of the unit are 31.25 by 23.6 by 8.6 inches which includes the stand. It has an impressive 1366 x 768-pixel resolution, 1300:1 contrast ratio, and a display format of 720p resulting to crisper and cleaner colours especially with reds, blues, and greens. The response time has been recorded at 8ms which is fast. The unit incorporates two 10 watt stereo speakers and uses SRS TruSurround XT which amplifies your viewing experience.

Aside from the HDMI video interface, a VGA connector is also include in the KDL32U2000U design. However, do remember that the display through a computer will be dependent on the type of video card hardware installed in your desktop.

At 32 inches, the Sony KDL32U2000U weighs around 15 kilograms or around 35 pounds. The last time I checked it only comes in silver which is not actually bad. The design is great but the silver colour might not be that slick and attractive. The black models in the high end units are way better.
