If you are one of the few who has not turned to the flat-side yet, it’s time to rethink your position. HDTV are the televisions of the future and oh… actually the present too. A lot of households are using this high-definition technology especially those who do not care much for the bulkiness of the previous direct view TV models.
A friend of mine, who recently moved to a flat, saved up for months just to be able to buy a HDTV television. It was a couple of months of no-partying and no-shopping but once she had enough and bought one, all the sacrifice was well worth it.
The HDTV that she bought was a beauty. Even I was slightly envious (and convinced to buy myself a model too for my flat). The picture was indeed clearer and the colours more vivid. It was like watching from a theatre except that the screen is smaller and you are at the comforts of your own home. The experience was heavenly!
These media guys however can be pretty expensive. Remember the months of sacrifice bit that I mentioned? You can expect to shell out anywhere from £200 to as much as £4000 but of course the really expensive ones are super big and are only appropriate to put in mini home theatres. HDTV’s price range actually depends on the size as most of its features are the same across the board. I, for one, did not really care much from the features. I just wanted a less bulky TV in my living room. And I got it after months of staking out stores for cut-price sale!
