It’s about time that we get the maximum comfort that we deserve. This was one of the first few thoughts that ran through my mind the moment we opened our new LCD television at home and watched a show from it for the first time. It was an experience like no other.

Although we had approximately the same size before, watching from an LCD is way better. It’s not only less bulky looking but the pictures are actually good. I’m not going to be too technical about this and discuss the crystals per pixel that are inside the TV in detail. The simple explanation is, LCD televisions have a higher resolution. That means that it has more dots per inch, which can translate to more vivid and clearer picture. Just think of a camera. If you zoom beyond what your camera is capable of, you can see the image exploding in dots right? That’s the pixels. With LCD TV, these dots are numerous and much much smaller. That means, it will take a lot of zooming in before you can actually see the image exploding.

Besides its picture quality, LCD TVs are also winning accolades because of the tie ins that it features. Some sets already have built in audio speakers that enables surround sound. Watching will be like watching from a theatre with sound all around you. Some also have sockets that will enable you to switch from TV viewing to computer screen. Some can even plug in two screens, which video gamers find absolutely rockin’. There are actually a lot of things that LCD televisions can do. So can you blame us if we are so obsessed by it right now?
