This high definition Sony LCD TV has an integrated standard digital terrestrial turner, which is MPEG-2, and it also receives analogue signals. When being used the first time, the 26L4000 will start searching for "free air", digital signals itself, without being dependent on the interference of a set-up box. The remote control is very user-friendly and easy to use. The same can be said for the set-up menus on the screen.

The Bravia Engine and the 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio result in deep blacks and rich colours, as well as vivid and dynamic images. The 178 degrees viewing angle makes it possible to follow any games, TV shows or movies from almost any angle of a room.

Making connection with HD-sources is easy through two HDMI inputs on the rear of the 26L4000 Bravia. Gaming devices, laptops or a Blu-ray Disc™ can be input on it. Additionally, the Sony 26L4000 has two SCARTS and one PSP-connection so that five sources at the same time could be used.

The Sony 26L4000 is wall mountable and uses less then 0.8W of power when in standby mode. In operation mode, it uses 98W. Like any LCD screen, this makes the Sony L26L4000 far more efficient and "green" then its Plasma screen competitors.

The Sony 26L4000 can be easily attached to the wall and like all Sony televisions can also become a stylish addition to internal home decoration considering its well-designed looks.
