Sony brought the Sony KDL32P3020 to the market in September 2007. It has a HD-ready 32 inch LCD-screen. Typical features are its imaging view of 178 degrees and its possibility to watch two channels at the same time. The Sony 32U4000 followed the Sony KDL32P3020 in September 2008.

This Sony LCD TV features high quality colours through the BRAVIA Engine technology. Its Bravia Theatre Sync makes it possible to manage a home cinema by one remote control only. The KDL32P3020 has two High Definition Multimedia Interfaces (HDMI) as to optimize the transfer from HD-sources like for instance a camcorder or a Blue-ray player.

Compared to earlier Sony televisions, a dynamic improvement has occurred in the KDL32P3020 series. Sony used ACE (Advance Contrast Enhancer) which aims to maintain all the subtle shades of the images. As a consequence the image shades between opposite colours like dark and white are maintained which gives the picture more depth and detail.

Mounting the Sony on a wall can be done easily since it has been made VESA standard with screw holes in line with the Video Electronics Standards Association so that hanging the screen on a wall is relatively simple. Compared to other models, this Sony LCD TV is relatively light in weight.

The Sony KDL32P3020 is also provided with a Digital TV Terrestrial Tuner which can both receive digital and analogue signals. It has an inbuilt Virtual Dolby sound system which is guide to two speakers in front of the screen and alson uses less than 0.7 W in standby mode, and 130 W in active mode.
