Being the world leader in televisions, you can be sure that a Sony LCD TV will give you a quality product that you will be able to use for the next two decades. It may be expensive on the onset but in the long run you will realize that you actually got a good bargain.
Case in point is my TV at home. I have had it for the last 15 years and it is still in working condition.
